| Atlantic County Smoke Free Air Coalition (SFAC) is a community organization made up of people who live or work in Atlantic County and are concerned about the effects of tobacco use, particulalry environmental tobacco smoke, commonly known as secondhand smoke.
Our coalition represents a variety of age groups, professions and cultures. The SFAC provides information and education on tobacco and related issues. We work with schools, community organizations and health officials to inform people about the potential dangers of tobacco use. We have also provided information and support for those who have chosen to stop smoking.
PLEASE NOTE: The coalition became involved in this project after meeting Vince Rennich and hearing his story. When the Clean Indoor Air Act was passed in January, 2006 exempting the casinos we offered to collaborate on this project with Vince. As Vince stated “My co-workers are all petrified now. They’re concerned for their health as well. It’s a modern day coal mine.”
